Frequently asked questions

Mould & Mildew Stain Remover – at a glance

What is it suitable for?
For cleaning mould-related stains and discolouration on washable, chlorine-resistant boat surfaces, subject to a preliminary compatibility test.
Can it be used on faux leather, vinyl or coloured upholstery?
Use on faux leather or vinyl (PVC) marine upholstery is not automatically ruled out: first test on an inconspicuous area and follow the material manufacturer’s cleaning instructions. The chlorine-containing cleaner may damage certain coatings, seams and dyes. It may fade or bleach coloured fabrics and textile upholstery, so use it there only if material compatibility has been confirmed.
Can it be used with another Marine Care product?
No. Do not use together with other products; hazardous chlorine gas may be released. Rinse the surface thoroughly between separate cleaning procedures.
Why are thorough rinsing and waste handling important?
The product is corrosive and very toxic to aquatic life. Never discharge contaminated liquid into marina waters or natural waterways. Dispose of waste in accordance with local rules and the safety data sheet.
Where can I obtain the safety data sheet?
