Switch off the engine, wait until it has cooled completely, and disconnect power if required by the engine manufacturer.

Protect electrical connections, control units, the alternator, open air intakes and other water-sensitive parts.

On aluminium, painted, lacquered, plastic or unfamiliar surfaces, test first.

Spray onto the dirty, cold surface.

Leave to work briefly, for no more than a few minutes, but do not allow it to dry.

Loosen dirt with a soft brush, sponge or cloth.

Rinse thoroughly using a controlled amount of water, then dry if required.
