Wood impregnating agent
WOOD PROTECTOR W is a functional silicone resin aqueous emulsion.
It significantly reduces the capillary water absorption of wood.
Its use can reduce the cost of preserving the wood in the long term!
Its use significantly reduces the penetration of water into the wood, therefore the wood is protected from attacks by microorganisms due to lack of water, even if the glaze has already deteriorated on the surface.
With its use, swelling and shrinkage are reduced to a lower level. This has a positive effect on the tendency to crack.

WOOD PROTECTOR W can be stored in its original, unopened container at a temperature of 0-30 oC for at least 24 months from the date indicated on the label.
Expiry does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable.
However, in this case, the necessary properties for the intended use must be checked for quality reliability reasons.
Application:
Application to wood: can be done with a brush or dip. Teddy roller is PROHIBITED!
Always carry out a test treatment on the surface to be treated!
This way we can check the effectiveness of the agent on the given surface and the amount to be used.
In the case of outdoor use, the water-repellent ability develops in approx. 2 weeks, which can last up to 17 years.
Material consumption: e.g. for spruce: 0.1 liter/m2
The penetration depth strongly depends on the type/density of the wood and the natural resin content of the wood.
In addition, the penetration and the amount of material are strongly influenced by the cutting and grain direction of the wood.
When treating pine, oak, beech and ash, there is no change in the appearance of the surface, or it is only slightly affected - it becomes slightly darker.
Wood treated with WOOD PROTECTOR W can in principle be painted, but first the impregnated surface must be exposed to certain weather conditions for 2-3 months.
One thing must not be forgotten: smooth wooden surfaces will only absorb a part of the silicone - the rest remains on the surface.
As a result, especially in the case of highly concentrated wood preservatives, the adhesion of the agents may be limited and their spreading ability may deteriorate. Therefore, WOOD PROTECTOR W should not be used as a primer.
f you want to stain the surface, use WOOD PROTECTOR PLUS as an additive to the stain.
TIhe high water content of wood limits/reduces the penetration and the amount.
Caution: The surface to be treated must not be overheated!
Treatment temperature: 10-30 oC.
