CONCRETE STONE BALSAM
CONCRETE STONE BALSAM is excellent for brightening and impregnating old and faded paving stones.
With its use, faded paving stones regain their bright color.
With its use, we can also prevent nitrate formation and salt efflorescence.
Storage:
CONCRETE STONE BALSAM can be stored in its original, closed container at temperatures between 0 and 30 oC for at least 24 months from the date indicated on the label. If the product's shelf life has expired, the material may still be good, which must be confirmed by a preliminary test.
After opening, the material must be stored hermetically sealed, because the material reacts with the humidity of the air.
Application:
Surface preparation:
Before applying the impregnation agent, the surface to be treated must be cleaned of dirt and harmful substance deposits, salt bloom, and greenish discoloration caused by algae and moss.
Cleaning opens the openings of the capillaries and pores, thus enabling the perfect absorption of the impregnation agent, and can also prevent the impregnated dirty, contaminated surface from being impossible to clean, or only very difficult to clean.
New, not yet contaminated surfaces must be cleaned of coarse particles and dust deposits by sweeping or, if necessary, with compressed air.
Aged surfaces, as well as surfaces heavily contaminated with oil, rubber residue, etc., must be cleaned with superheated steam or high-pressure water before starting the treatment.
Execution:
CONCRETE STONE BALSAM should be used undiluted.
It is recommended to apply it to the surface to be treated with a brush, a disc brush or by spraying. The application should always be done in at least 2 layers.
A more vibrant color can be achieved if it is applied in more than two layers. The surface to be treated must be dry to the eye!
Attention:
Always do a test treatment before use!
Do not use a teddy roller as it may stain the surface!
Application temperature: 10-30 0C.
Before treating a painted surface, test whether the material dissolves the applied paint!
Any excess that has not been absorbed must be wiped off, as the surface may be sticky and stained!
Coverage:
For two coats of treatment of 1 m2 of concrete stone surface, 0,3-0,4 liters are sufficient.
Always perform a test treatment on the surface to be treated. This way, you can calculate, for example, the desired amount of material.
Important: Before application, carefully cover windows and non-absorbent surfaces, as the product sets so quickly that it is very difficult or impossible to remove. If it splashes on glass, wash it immediately with soapy water or, if necessary, with a solvent.
Attention: The surface to be treated must not be overheated!
If you have already treated the surface with something, it may not be possible to achieve the effect you want!
Safety measures:
Use rubber gloves and safety glasses during work!
