STONE PROTECTOR

Stone impregnation

STONE PROTECTOR is excellent for making natural stones and brick coverings used indoors and outdoors water-repellent.

We recommend it for the protection of sandstone, limestone (not solid), porphyry, quartzite, solnhoffen and other natural stones, as well as cut and broken bricks.

Just like all members of the impregnation family, STONE PROTECTOR does not close the pores of the stone, but it provides first-class protection for our stones against the damaging effects of water.

When using the product, make sure to follow the safety regulations, because the substance is highly alkaline and therefore corrosive!

Storage:

STONE PROTECTOR impregnation agent can be stored in iron, plastic or glass containers. Zinc-coated aluminum or galvanized containers are not suitable for storage. STONE PROTECTOR impregnation agent can be stored in a closed container for two years (24 months) from the date indicated on the label.

The product must always be stored above 0 oC.

If the substance crystallizes due to too low a temperature, it will dissolve again when heated. Then the product must be stirred well. If the product’s shelf life has expired, the substance may still be good, which must be confirmed by a preliminary test.

Application:

The surface of the object to be treated must be impregnated with STONE PROTECTOR impregnation agent. If the stone is not to be glued, then if possible, saturate the surface by dipping for 1-2 minutes, as uneven application to the surface can lead to the formation of white spots.

Attention: Stone impregnated with dipping can only be glued with special glue!

STONE PROTECTOR should be applied to the surface to be treated in two layers by pouring, brushing or large-drop spraying, sprinkling (the material should flow onto the surface). The second layer must always be applied before the first layer dries ("wet-on-wet" method)!

Caution: If the 1st layer dries, the 2nd layer cannot be applied!!!

The surface to be treated must appear dry to the eye and must be absorbent.

Always perform a test treatment on the surface to be treated. This way, you can calculate, for example, the desired amount of material or the effectiveness of the agent, and avoid possible discoloration.

The material requirement depends on the absorbency of the surface: 0.1 - 1 l/m2

The treatment must be repeated after 3-4 years.

Caution: The surface to be treated must not be overheated!
Treatment temperature:10-30 oC.

Safety measures:

STONE PROTECTOR is an alkaline and corrosive substance. When handling the product, wear rubber gloves and safety glasses!

In case of splashes on the skin, wash it off with plenty of water. If the product gets into the eyes, wash it off immediately with plenty of water and call a doctor due to its caustic and corrosive effect. Clothing soaked with STONE PROTECTOR must be removed immediately.
