POINTING PROTECTOR MAX

Oil-repellent pointing impregnation

Oil-repellent pointing impregnation - POINTING PROTECTOR MAX is excellently suited for treating joints of surfaces exposed to oil and grease contamination (living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, garages, workshops, slaughterhouses, etc.) due to its oil and water repellent active ingredients.

Spilled soup, stew, red wine do not stain or discolor the joints between tiles and paving slabs, and they can be easily cleaned.

The material is applied to the joints by brushing in at least two layers. The next layer must always be applied before the previous one dries.

Storage:

POINTING PROTECTOR MAX can be stored in its original, closed container at temperatures between 0-30 oC for at least 24 months from the date indicated on the label. If the product's shelf life has expired, the material may still be good, which must be confirmed by a preliminary test.

After longer storage, a sour cream-like precipitate appears on the material, which must be removed by shaking and stirring thoroughly before use.

Application:

Oil-repellent pointing impregnation - POINTING PROTECTOR MAX is applied to the grout by brushing in at least two layers on the surface to be treated. The second layer must always be applied before the first layer dries ("wet-on-wet" method)!

The surface to be treated must appear dry to the eye and be absorbent.

The material requirement for a two-layer treatment, depending on the absorbency of the surface: 25 - 30 m2/litre.

Always carry out a test treatment on the surface to be treated. This way, you can calculate, for example, the desired amount of material or the effectiveness of the agent, and avoid possible discoloration.

The treatment should be carried out with a "groove-wide" brush if possible. Wipe off any product that gets on the grout with a damp cloth or sponge before it dries, making sure that no water gets on the freshly treated grout.

The effect of the material is partially visible after 24 hours, fully after 1 week.

Removing dirt:

The contaminated surface can be cleaned with hot water or steam.
It is preferable to use a high-pressure cleaner (e.g. 90 oC, 20 bar).

After cleaning, the protection must be repeated!

Before treatment, any dirt on the surface must be removed as thoroughly as possible (especially paint), because it is very difficult to remove it after the protective layer has been applied and cured.

Caution: The surface to be treated must not be overheated!
Treatment temperature: 10-30 oC.

Safety measures:

Use rubber gloves and safety glasses during work!
