MONUMENT BB 29-46
Color enhancer and impregnation agent
for brick and broken brick surfaces
FEATURES:
A silane/siloxane-based solvent-based care product containing silicone varnish, which also strengthens the dusty surface and makes it dirt-repellent.
MONUMENT BB 29-46 is used to deepen the color of bricks and broken bricks, and to impregnate them. After application, it reacts with the humidity of the air or the water in the pores of the surface, releasing alcohol.
One of the active ingredients of the agent is silicone resin, which significantly reduces the building material's ability to absorb water through capillary action.
The other active ingredient of the agent is silicone varnish, which optically brightens the color of the surface. With its use, new bricks do not fade, and broken bricks regain their bright color, as if they were new.
It can clog pores and capillaries, which can reduce the breathability of the surface! (This is true for all commercially available color-brightening products - e.g. Funcosil AS!!!)
Applicable:
It cannot be used on or near surfaces containing solvent-sensitive materials (nikecell, polystyrene, bitumen, etc.)!
MONUMENT BB 29-46 is excellent for brightening the color of brick surfaces, strengthening and impregnating their surfaces.
With its use, new bricks do not fade, and old, broken bricks regain their bright color as if they were new.
With its use, we can prevent nitrate formation, salt efflorescence, and reduce damage caused by winter salting, while the surface remains breathable.
Due to its dirt-repellent effect, it can also be used indoors on heavily used surfaces (schools, gyms, lecture halls, etc.)
Before use, always check the compatibility of the agent with the surface to be treated in a less visible place!
STORAGE:
MONUMENT BB 29-46 should be stored in its original, closed container at a temperature between 5 and 30 °C.
The product has a shelf life of 24 months.
If the product has passed its shelf life, the material may still be good, which must be confirmed by a preliminary test.
After opening, the material must be stored hermetically sealed, because the material reacts with the humidity of the air.
USE:
Surface preparation:
The surface must be in perfect condition. Construction defects, defects such as cracks, cracked joints, faulty connections, rising and hygroscopic moisture must be eliminated in advance. It must be ensured that water and the harmful salts dissolved in it cannot get behind the hydrophobic layer, as this can cause frost damage, peeling, and nitrate precipitation.
Before applying MONUMENT BB 29-46, the surface must be cleaned of any dirt layer and harmful substance deposits, salt efflorescence, algae and moss.
For cleaning, choose the most suitable product from our DRY-CLEANING cleaning product family.
Execution:
It is recommended to apply MONUMENT BB 29-46 to the surface to be treated by pouring or by spraying with large droplets (the material should flow on the surface) in at least two layers. The next layer must always be applied before the first layer dries (“wet-on-wet” method)! The appropriate amount depends on the absorbency of the surface.
DO NOT use a teddy roller, as it cannot ensure uniform application and may cause spots on the surface!
Apply as much material as it can absorb per unit of surface, so the capillary system of the surface must be saturated in two layers. Any material that is not absorbed must be wiped off!
The surface to be treated must be dry to the touch!
Always carry out a test treatment (on 1-2 m2) on the surface to be treated. This way, you can calculate and check, for example, the desired amount of material or the effectiveness of the agent.

Important: Before application, carefully cover windows and non-absorbent surfaces, as the product sets so quickly that it is very difficult or impossible to remove. If it splashes on glass, wash it off immediately with soapy water or, if necessary, with a solvent.
Do not use on existing polystyrene internal thermal insulation and solvent-sensitive building parts such as bitumen, bitumen roof insulation, etc., as it may dissolve them!
Caution: The surface to be treated must not be overheated!
Application temperature: 10-30 oC. Below 10 oC, the chemical reaction slows down, so the protective effect may take 1-2 weeks to develop!
