CONCRETE STONE PROTECTOR
Concrete stone impregnation
CONCRETE STONE PROTECTOR is the ideal impregnation agent for all cement-based (concrete) paving stones.
By using it, we prevent the paving stones from algae growth, discoloration, and salt efflorescence from appearing on their surface.
Thanks to its special active ingredient content, the color of the stone does not fade for a long time, because it protects it against harmful UV rays.
Before laying the paving stones in sand or gravel, it is advisable to impregnate them with a dip.
Attention: Smoking and the use of open flames are prohibited during use!
Storage:
CONCRETE STONE PROTECTOR can be stored in its original, closed container at temperatures between 0-30 oC for at least 24 months from the date indicated on the label. If the product's shelf life has expired, the material may still be good, which must be confirmed by a preliminary test.
Application:
Surface preparation:
Before applying the impregnation agent, the surface to be treated must be cleaned of dirt and harmful substance deposits, salt bloom, and greenish discoloration caused by algae and moss.
Cleaning opens the openings of the capillaries and pores, thus enabling the perfect absorption of the impregnation agent, and can also prevent the impregnated dirty, contaminated surface from being impossible to clean, or only very difficult to clean.
New, not yet contaminated surfaces must be cleaned of coarse particles and dust deposits by sweeping or, if necessary, with compressed air.
Aged surfaces, as well as surfaces heavily contaminated with oil, rubber residue, etc., must be cleaned with superheated steam or high-pressure water before starting the treatment.
Execution:
It is recommended to apply CONCRETE STONE PROTECTOR to the surface to be treated by pouring or by spraying with large droplets (the material should flow onto the surface) in at least two layers. The next layer must always be applied before the first layer dries ("wet-on-wet" method)!
The surface must be dry to the eye. The appropriate amount depends on the absorbency of the surface.
0.3 - 0.5 liters are sufficient for treating 1 m2 of surface with two layers.
Always carry out a test treatment on the surface to be treated. This way we can find out, for example, the desired amount of material or the effectiveness of the agent.
Important: Before application, carefully cover glass and non-absorbent surfaces, as the product sets so quickly that it is very difficult or impossible to remove it. If it splashes onto glass, wash it off immediately with soapy water or, if necessary, with a solvent!
Before treating a painted surface, test to see if the material dissolves the applied paint!
After work, wash the tools with white spirit.
Caution: The surface to be treated must not be overheated!
Treatment temperature: 10-30 oC.
If you have already treated the surface with something, it may not achieve the effect you want!
Safety measures:
Use rubber gloves and safety glasses during work!
