CONCRETE PROTECTOR - Concrete impregnation is a mixture of octyl-triethoxy-silane isomers, with isooctyl-triethoxy-silane as the main component. CONCRETE PROTECTOR - Concrete impregnation can be used undiluted for hydrophobic priming and impregnation of concrete and reinforced concrete.

The treated concrete has the following permanent properties:

The active ingredient of CONCRETE PROTECTOR reacts with atmospheric moisture and/or water in the pores of the building material, forming alcohol. The active ingredient thus formed greatly reduces the water absorption of the concrete in the active zone (penetration depth after post-treatment), without blocking the pores or capillaries. The impregnated building material retains its water vapor permeability.

Application:

• Infrastructure
• Fiber cement boards
• Building materials
• Concrete protection
• Hydrophobic impregnation.

Storage:

CONCRETE PROTECTOR can be stored in its original, closed container at 0-30 0C for at least 24 months from the date indicated on the label. If the product's shelf life has expired, the material may still be good, which must be confirmed by a preliminary test.

After opening, the material must be stored hermetically sealed, because the material reacts with the humidity of the air.

Usage:

The work carried out (preparation of the concrete surface, setting up of the reference surface, application and quality control) must comply with the relevant regulations.

The concrete must not be impregnated until four weeks have passed so as not to affect the setting of the cement.

New, not yet contaminated surfaces must be cleaned of coarse particles and dust deposits by sweeping or, if necessary, with compressed air. Already aged surfaces and surfaces heavily contaminated with oil, rubber marks, etc. must be cleaned with superheated steam or high-pressure water before starting the treatment. In order to avoid saturation of the concrete with water, it is essential that the water used is drained immediately.

Impregnation must always be carried out on concrete that appears dry to the eye, i.e. when the concrete surface appears uniformly dry, there are no visible wet spots and the moisture content is balanced. For this purpose, the moisture in the surface zone of the concrete is measured using an appropriate technique (CM method or other methods permitted by ZTVING). The moisture content in the surface zone of the concrete (from the surface to a depth of 20 mm) must not exceed 4% by weight.

Apply the impregnation agent evenly to the building material in two layers without dilution, using the “wet-on-wet” method. Two layers are absolutely essential to prevent the formation of defects on the impregnated surface. Do not allow puddles to form.

The impregnation agent can be applied by spraying at reduced pressure. After spraying, a sheepskin roller can be used for more even coverage.

In the event of unexpected rain, cover already impregnated surfaces and stop all further impregnation.

CONCRETE PROTECTOR should never come into direct contact with bitumen. The resistance of insulating materials to CONCRETE PROTECTOR should be tested on a case-by-case basis at the desired temperature.

CONCRETE PROTECTOR is recommended for hydrophobic impregnation and priming of concrete and reinforced concrete in road, bridge and building construction. It is also suitable for hydrophobic treatment of fillers and pigments

Caution: The surface to be treated must not be overheated! Application temperature: 10-30 oC.

If you have already treated the surface with something, it may not achieve the effect you want!
