CONCRETE ADDITIVE emulsion contains a stabilized silane/siloxane mixture capable of hydrolysis.
CONCRETE ADDITIVE significantly reduces the capillary water absorption capacity of the building material, but does not clog the pores or capillaries. Therefore, the change in the breathing of the building material is small or barely measurable.
Its use is specifically recommended when making sidewalks, so that winter salting cannot damage the sidewalk.
Its use can also be useful when concreting fences or shafts into formwork.
Prevents salt efflorescence. Not suitable for reinforced concrete bridges and roads.
Storage:
CONCRETE ADDITIVE can be stored in its original, closed container at 0-30 oC for at least 24 months from the date indicated on the label. However, according to experience, it can be stored for up to 3 years without deterioration in quality.
Surface creaming may occur during storage, but this is not an irreversible process, i.e. after brief shaking or mixing, a homogeneous material with unchanged properties is obtained.
Application:
Recommended mixing range of CONCRETE ADDITIVE: 1:4 dilution with drinking water (add 4 liters of drinking water to 1 liter of CONCRETE ADDITIVE), then add 1.0% by weight - 5.0% by weight of cement content when mixing concrete (1-5 liters of diluted admixture to 100 kg of cement).
A significant reduction in water absorption is already achieved with a diluted material added to cement at 1.0% by weight. CONCRETE ADDITIVE is added simultaneously with or immediately after the mixing water - it should never be added together with other admixtures. In order to maintain a constant water / cement ratio, the total mixing water is reduced by the amount previously required for dilution.
We recommend testing compatibility with other concrete admixtures separately.
In case of longer mixing times, the product is thoroughly distributed throughout the entire system, which makes it extremely effective.
For use in concrete products according to EN 1338, 1339 or EN 1340 or similar concrete products, an initial type test is recommended (see section 6.2 of the relevant standard).
Application temperature: 10-30 oC.
Concrete treated with BETONADLÉK can be painted, but coverings cannot be glued!
Safety measures:
Use rubber gloves and safety glasses during work!
The "Safety Data Sheet" can be obtained from the manufacturer or the dealer.
